My big sister has held my hand through the bad times and applauded for me before, during, and after my accomplishments. Meshan Curry is known for her willingness to pursue her goals while also enjoying the pleasures of life and traveling. Her quick intelligence, accompanied by her strong sense of self, is admirable. She is currently practicing as a Radiation Therapist treating cancer patients in the Charleston Lowcountry area and is working towards certification as a Medical Dosimetrist.

Angela Jefferson is Shay'auna’s older cousin from Maryland, holding a special place in her heart as they’ve shared countless cherished memories at their grandmother’s house and during family vacations. From childhood adventures to navigating life's milestones, Angela has always been there to support Shay'auna, providing sound and realistic feedback as she expresses her next steps in life. Angela is a structured, successful, and well-traveled young woman who brings humor everywhere she goes.

Shadai and Shay’auna both graduated from South Carolina State University. During Shadai’s graduate studies, she was inducted as a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity Incorporated, a brotherhood she shares with Shay’auna. Throughout this time, they shared laughter and created new memories. Despite becoming a mother, wife, and educator, Shadai continued to be a cherished friend.

Cheyenne and Shay’auna first met on the first day of sixth grade at Rollings Middle School of the Arts. Cheyenne's focus was on dance, while Shay’auna pursued vocal training, their respective rooms situated adjacent to each other. Despite attending different high schools, they maintained their friendship throughout their college years. Cheyenne obtained her bachelor’s degree from Voorhees College, where she was also initiated as a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated. From middle school YMCA parties to congratulatory calls on work promotions and responsibilities, these two have shared countless tears of laughter and memories worth treasuring.

Jeleana attended South Carolina State University and resided in Williams Hall, where Shay’auna served as the third-floor community assistant from 2015 to 2016. While Jordon and Shay were acquainting themselves, both holding similar roles in their dormitories, Shay’auna treated Jeleana like a younger sister, making an effort not to be overly protective. Jelly was an outgoing and well-rounded individual, shining in various aspects and leaving a positive impact on campus and in her studies. During Jeleana’s undergraduate years, she was inducted as a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity Incorporated, fostering the brotherhood she shares with Shay’auna.

Kayla Dunning and Shay’auna attended South Carolina State University and lived in Williams Hall, where they were both assigned the role of community assistants on the third floor. Together, they navigated the challenges of being community assistants, driven by a shared goal: to actively engage with the community and contribute positively to campus life. Kayla exhibited outgoing and ambitious traits, consistently setting and achieving her goals while maintaining a balance between work and leisure, and establishing realistic boundaries with peers and professionals. Shay’auna admired Kayla’s assertiveness and her readiness to advocate for those in need. The following year, they became suitemates, during which they shared laughter, attended parties, took naps, assisted each other with resume-building, and practiced public speaking. Kayla is also a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity Incorporated and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.

Jordon always shared stories about his daughter Skylar with Shay’auna. He would recount her dance performances, tales of visits from the tooth fairy, and the mystery behind their special pancake recipe. The day Shay and Sky met, the three of them visited a local fair in Columbia, South Carolina, to win prizes and later picked strawberries in nearby lush fields. Since then, Skylar has regularly FaceTimed Shay to share her Barbie playtime, enjoyed a few girls' nights watching The Proud Family, and accompanied Shay to the dance studio on Saturday mornings.

Jordon’s niece, Lindsay Roderick, brings boundless energy and joy to the family. With her love for basketball and the nickname "Biscuit" by Uncle Jordon, she effortlessly lights up any room. Beyond her passion for sports, Lindsay is known for her nurturing nature as a devoted older sister who cherishes every moment with her twin brothers . Her fascination with rollercoaster adds a touch of whimsy to her vibrant personality to this down to earth Cali girl.

Hazleigh is Shay’auna’s second cousin, the daughter of Quentin and Tiffany Curry. While Quentin’s family lived in Charleston, Shay was able to babysit "Princess Haze" during her infant and toddler stages. Hazleigh has such a sweet spirit and is able to say a thousand words with just one look.

Smart, sweet, and stunning! Miss Adele is Shay’auna’s youngest first cousin and has plenty of personality. She loves to hang out with her big sister, Angel, and spend time with her family. At first sight, Shay's aunt and uncle placed baby Adele into her arms as they sat out in their backyard.

Trey Roderick, Jordon's older brother, has carved out a fulfilling life up North, where he thrives in his career and embarks on enriching travel experiences. Living in the North has provided Trey with ample opportunities to excel in his profession and broaden his horizons through travel. Despite the physical distance, Trey remains closely connect with his family. His ability to balance career success with a passion for exploration serves as an inspiration to Jordon and the rest of the family, instilling a sense of pride in Trey's achievements and his adventurous spirit. Additionally, Trey is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, further enriching his life with brotherhood.

Enhancing the family tapestry, Jordon is the youngest of three siblings, now shouldering the responsibility of extending his best man duties to both of his brothers. Detrick, with his marriage to Keisha Roderick, has cultivated a beautiful family, comprising a set of twin boys and a daughter. Despite their significant age gap, Detrick always made sure to include Jordon in his adventures, like picking him up to go to the fair. He even took his little brother with him to the mall, creating cherished memories that transcended the years. Now, Skylar is able to visit her uncle and spend quality time with her cousins, adding even more joy to the family bond.

Jordon and Brandon Brown's friendship, initiated at Dutch Fork High School, flourished over shared interests and numerous memories. From video game marathons dating back to 2010 to navigating the challenges of college life in separate cities, their bond grew stronger. Brandon pursued his education at Coastal Carolina University and later became a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. Whether supporting each other through Jordon's journey as a young first-time dad or celebrating victories, they've consistently had each other's backs.

Jordon first crossed paths with his friend Quan during his time as a Resident Assistant (RA) in Mitchell Hall at South Carolina State University. Their friendship began as they navigated the challenges and responsibilities of dormitory life. Quan's easygoing nature and enthusiasm, which made him a favorite among residents allowed them to get along well and create lifelong memories and memorable experiences. Their friendship, rooted in mutual respect and continued to grow long after their days in the dormitory, serving as a testament to the lasting connections formed during their time at South Carolina State University.

Jordon and Perrion were both Resident Assistants (RAs) in Mitchell Hall at South Carolina State University. Through Perrion's similar music interests and involvement in dorm events and meetings, their friendship grew as they teamed up to foster a welcoming atmosphere for residents. Their discussions on business and entrepreneurship were robust, as was their shared passion for music and audio. Perrion's suite in Hugine was where P, Quan, and a couple of other friends would discuss music, spots, future career opportunities, and more. Perrion now enjoys great success as a photographer in Houston, Texas.

Shay'auna's "forver baby brother", eagerly stepping into the role of groomsman, brings his own unique charm to the wedding festivities. With a passion for cars that rivals his love for basketball, he adds a vibrant energy to the celebration. When he's not on the court playing AAU basketball, he can be found tinkering with engines and immersing himself in the world of car. His eyes light up when he talks the latest car details, often interjecting witty remarks that keep everyone laughing. Alongside his love for sports and cars, he nurtures a growing interest in engineering, a field he aspires to pursue after high school. His enthusiasm for life, endearing sense of humor, and ambitious dreams make him a beloved presence among family and friends.

With a heart as big as his smile, Zahmir Jefferson is stepping into the spotlight as our ring bearer. Zahmir has already shown he's a natural charmer with his playful spirit and sweet nature. Dressed to impress in his tiny suit, he’s all set to make the wedding day unforgettable. His enthusiasm and pure joy will surely add a touch of magic to the ceremony, and we’re thrilled to have him play such a special role.
